The main drawback of using QuickBooks Online is its heavy price tag. The most popular plan is QuickBooks Online Plus at $70 per month. The functionality is comparable to a $29 per month or Zoho Books Professional. Even QuickBooks Online Essentials are more expensive than Zoho Books Professional, at $40 per month. Another weak point for Quick Books Online is its inability to create sales orders for your customers to track orders placed. Zoho Books Professional includes sales ordering capability.

You may even use Zoho Creator to create your own Zoho App. Zoho One includes all of the Zoho apps for $75 per user per month for companies that want to go “all – in” on Zoho.

3. Client Portal:

Zoho Books has a client portal for sharing documents and collaborating with your clients. Once your invitation to the client portal is accepted, your clients will have access to all transactions that have occurred between them and your company. Customers can accept estimates, invoices and download statements for review and payment. You can see if a customer has viewed an invoice within the client portal, and you can send custom messages to ask them questions or get clarification about something.

Pricing: Zoho Books vs QuickBooks:

Zoho Books has a significantly lower price tag than QuickBooks Online. All three Zoho Books’ pricing plans are significantly smaller than the comparable QuickBooks pricing plans. Zoho Books ‘least expensive plan is the $9 per month Basic Plan vs. the comparable QuickBooks Online Simple Start plan, which is $25 a month. Zoho Books Professional’s high-end plan is $29 a month vs QuickBooks Online plus $70 a month, which is the most comparable Quick Books Online Plan.

Similar to QuickBooks Online, there are more features in the higher-cost plans. However, in the lower plans, Zoho Books also limits the number of contacts or the combination of customers and vendors. The Basic plan restricts you to 50 contacts, the Standard is 500 and the Professional the plan is unlimited. In no plan does QuickBooks Online limit the number of customers.
